Mr. Jacob Roberts and Mrs. Molly Nodolf are in their second year as Co-Advisors of the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Chapter at Platteville High School. HOSA is recognized by the US Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services and several federal and state agencies. There are currently 6000 members and 165 chapters in Wisconsin. PHS currently has ~20 students in their chapter. Their goals are to promote physical, mental, and social wellbeing; educate students on healthcare career paths; and help develop leadership skills. The PHS chapter meets monthly and invites guest speakers, volunteers in the community, and plans their annual activities. Activities they've done in the past year include a Blood Drive, Southwest Health Tour (where they went through a real patient situation), and competing at and participating in the State Leadership Conference. They invited all in attendance to mark our calendars for their 2025 Blood Drive at the High School on May 7th.
