Nuzaira, Halle and Adeline win Oratorical Contest

This year's contest topic is “How Optimism Has Guided Me Through Trying Times”  The contest was held on the evening of March 10, 2025 at the Mound City Bank Motor Branch in Platteville.

Pictured on the right is our Oratorical Contest winner Nuzaira Rabbini and Platteville Optimist Club Youth Activities Committee Chair Amy Coffey.

Nuzaira, daughter of Dr. Mahammad Rabbini and Dr. Farzana Marini, will receive $150 for First Place. She is a student at Platteville High School. Nuzaira has the opportunity to move on to the Zone Contest on April 12, 2025. Winners there have the chance to move to District, Regional and World Championship levels.

Halle, daughter of Derek and Lauren Furrer, will receive $100 for Second Place. Halle is an 8th grader at Saint Rose in Cuba City. She also has the opportunity to move on to the Zone Contest on April 12, 2025.

Adeline, daughter of Sue Foley, will receive $50 for Third Place. Adeline is a student at Iowa Grant High School.
