Zone Oratorical Contest Winners

Three students participated in the SWIS District Zone 5 Oratorical Contest.

Advancement to the District Level, they are eligible to win one of three scholarships, $2,500, $1,500 or $1,000.  The first-place participant at District advances to the National competition with an opportunity for a $20,000 scholarship.  Pictured with Maxine Lane, SWIS District Co-Governor and member of Platteville Optimist are (L to R), Sophie Kammerud, Nuzaira Rabbani and Halle Furrer.

Contest held Saturday, April 12.  Advancing to SWIS District competition in first place is Nuzaira Rabbani, representing Platteville Optimist Club and advancing in second place is Sophie Kammerud on behalf of Darlington Optimist.
